Booking Travelodge
I made the booking on the Travelodge website. The process was simple and straightforward. I had not found the hotel on other travel websites such as Lastminute.com or Expedia.co.uk.
In the past when customers made bookings on the Travelodge website, the credit card number would be used to only make a reservation. It would be charged when the customer checked-in, and gave the flexibility of cancellation without penalty upto 2pm on the day of the stay.
Unfortunately this system has changed and customers' credit cards are charged for the full amount at the time of booking.
Location of Travelodge, Didsbury
The Didsbury Travelodge is located adjacent to the Parrs Wood Centre, a leisure complex in Didsbury. The Travelodge is at the junction between the main A34 road and A5145 Parrs Wood Lane. It is approximately 6 miles south of Manchester, and 5 miles east of Stockport.
Didsbury is an affluent, leafy suburb of Manchester.
There is a 24-hour Tesco supermarket opposite the Travelodge.

The room had a standard double bed, sofa-bed, bedside cupboards, desk and en-suite bathroom. There was a TV, tea/coffee kettle & tray and direct-dial telephone.

The bathroom was somewhat small, but clean and functional.

This little sign is now ubiquitous in hotel bathrooms these days. It's almost certainly more a way for the hotel to save a few pennies rather than anything to do with saving the planet!

From my room I had a great view of Parrs Wood Centre.
Summary
The Manchester Didsbury Travelodge is a comfortable, modern hotel in South Manchester. The room was clean the hotel offers good value for money.
