Nizwa Souk
The oasis town of Nizwa lies in the heart of Oman, about 100 miles south west of Muscat. Nizwa was the capital of Oman during the 6th and 7th centuries.
The new souq (market) at Nizwa is contained within a modern-built replica of a traditional Omani fort. The market is located adjacent to the old Nizwa fort.
