The oasis town of Nizwa lies in the heart of Oman, about 100 miles south west of Muscat. Nizwa was the capital of Oman during the 6th and 7th centuries.
This roundabout is at the eastern entrance of Nizwa, seen while travelling into Nizwa from Muscat. It is a statue of a traditional Omani khanjar (dagger).
This is the Book Roundabout, at the western entrance of Nizwa, seen while travelling into Nizwa from Ibri.
